Sorry for my blogging absence; tomatoes, cukes, peppers, eggplant, beans, turnips, beets, squash and more are coming into the kitchen faster than I can process them. Every day is a glorious riot of colors and smells. And I don’t have a spare minute to sit here at the computer and do anything useful (like paying bills, to say nothing of writing blogs!).
Well, things will change soon enough. The maples are already beginning to show their true colors, the quality of sunlight is atumnal — we’ve even had a fire or two on a chilly night. Oh, Indian summer will bless us yet, but summer’s end is more than a passing thought.
Meantime, look for the latest Elizabeth appearance in the column to the right. When I post a new essay, I’ll show the new title over there. Enjoy!
